SAMAEL and HELLHAMMER may have been the most influential and innovative bands from Switzerland, but surely not the most typical ones (that's probably also the reason they were so successful overseas).
MESSIAH had names like "Tschösi" or "Brögi", insider references like "We Hate To Be In The Army Now" plus an extreme Swiss accent ----> no competition. |

In a way I can see why late Samael would embody that typically Swiss sense of strictness and accuracy, Hellhammer though sounds nothing like that.
GBK for the US is completely out of place, Pantera is a much more fitting call. Despite being a native Brit, Ozzy's personality and late releases are 101% a product of American degeneracy.

As much as I like Spite Extreme Wing, they do not really embody anything peculiarly Italian.
Weird stuff fits us best for sure, the fact that it is mostly horror-themed is merely coincidental in my opinion. Our way to go is dark and solemn, like Death SS, The Black, Black Hole, Paul Chain's Violet Theatre, some Mortuary Drape, Abysmal Grief, and an awful LOT of obscure progressive hard rock from the late '70ies.
And then there's Monumentum.
They are so eclectic yet so good that they deserve to be in a league of their own, they're probably the continuators of our prog tradition and just as close to the genius of Celtic Frost (conceptually speaking of course) as one can be without sounding like a copycat.
