Been taking time off between Father Befouled and Encoffination records and I created this: CHASM OF NIS. "Redolent of Spheres" is 4 tracks of churning and abysmal death metal chaos and lurking fear and sullen ambience. | I thoroughly enjoyed that song, will place an order tomorrow. Reminds me of that other new band Aevangelist. That guitar tone is monstrous. What gear did you use if I may ask? |

Thanks - I quite like that Ævangelist as well, but in all fairness, I recorded this stuff (in August) before I heard that band. I was quite excited when I saw their album though - it's very much in the same vein and very good. Especially considering the bands that the members came from, which I have found appalling.
As for the guitars - I used the same rig I do in Father Befouled: my RedBear 120 MK, a Crate Blue VooDoo 4x12 w/ Celestions, and a BC Rich Mockingbird. However, these guitars are obviously mastered very differently from FB, with lots of reverbs and EQing in the post.

Haha nope so far just this CDr. It's taken me 4 months to sit down and finally get this together. I also mastered the shit a dozen times because I'm OCD.
But always open...
