Since I have moved and have found my current speakers useless.
I have thought of buying Cerwin Vega VE-8F or the likes..
I need some recommendations of speakers like the above mentioned.. |

Find some vintage Infinitys if you can, over those CVs. What wattage is your amplification, per channel? |

You definitely can't go wrong with a good used pair of Klipsch speakers if you don't mind paying a little bit for them. I picked up a pair of their Forte ll speakers for $29 at a pawn shop and even though they are very ugly due to their condition (not to mention needing a horn repair), they sound awesome.
I'll recommend the vintage route to you. Old speakers are solid workhorses that require little to no work and in some cases, have modern upgrades available. Klipsch, JBL, Advent, Kef, Sansui, etc. They're all good. Good luck in your quest. |

You gotta do what you gotta do - take a few CDs with clearly different mixes, head to a hi-fi store and ask to test different speakers.
This reminds me I gotta get one of my Amphions fixed... _________________ §:-«l |

Play rpg games much? |
Nope. No games. Last games I played were on an Atari 2600 or the original Nintendo last century...... |

I had to pass on an opportunity to get a pair last year. I regret it now because the seller only wanted $40 but there was no way to try them out as we were at an outdoor swap meet..... |

So I did. Went to a local hifi store with Edge of Sanity - Purgatory Afterglow, Swans - The Seer and Of The Wand and The Moon - The Lone Descent, tried them on three different speakers.
My pick: Cerwin Vega VE-8F, man do they sound monstrous esp playing Swans, and great price too!
Btw thanks for the suggestions etc.. |

Really happy with my Adam A7X monitors. Insane detail. Probably the best monitors I've ever heard. |
