I love Exterminate its savage, has great riffs, and is just an assault on the senses. _________________

Hammer of Gods and Exterminate are both killer albums. Well I went for Exterminate anyways.
Very happy that I had the chance to see them live in 2008. _________________

Exterminate is the best. Also I like the 4th album a lot, seem to be the only one! _________________

Of Lucifer & Lightning is not too bad. The sound is just incredibly weak and plastic. _________________

| The Best wrote: | I heard with of lucifer and lightning they got dicked around with the drum tracks. Something happened along the lines of them sending the drum tracks to the drummer up around New York, the drummer took the songs, got the drum tracks professionally recorded but he botched the timing of the songs and some parts were too long and some parts were two bars too short. So Angelcorpse gets the tracks back and had to adjust their already written songs to suit the drum tracks. That's what I read somewhere anyway...
Exterminate gets my vote |
hmmm...all true actually....compounded by the fact that the mic settings were different from track to track added even further troubles for mixing...oh and the actual tracks were received by us mere days before the studio session....
All production woes aside...I was quite happy with many of the songs I did on that record...some foolishly expected the albums songs to be some sort of "part 2" of whatever their favorite old album of ours was, just like those sad characters holding out that SLAYER was going to create "RIB 2" back when....the fact is I really wanted to attempt to make something that would not sound like what many of our clone bands were doing in the wake of our initial breakup after 2000...Commercially we were impacted quite negatively, however you might never have known it when we went out live and played those new songs, as the the crowds both sides of the Atlantic reacted quite well to them...even the slow crawling sections that everyone whined about in reviews....So for me this album has no less a place in value or "rank" as any of the older ones.... |

I don't get all the hate towards Of Lucifer. Sure it's sub par for Angelcorpse standards but it's still a fairly good album which probably smokes the shit out of 99% of dm/bm releases this year _________________ Thread derailed

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?
I want that Balwezo Westijiz–Urkraftens Mystik LP but wanted to get it with the Bekëth Nexëhmü |

Of Lucifer and lighting is one of my favourite death metal albums it's a really underrated album it takes a while to get into it but both the lyrics and music are great. I think it's a better album than the The Inexorable.
Exterminate would have to be my favourite thought followed by Hammer of Gods. |

Of Lucifer and Lightning had its moments and Hexensabbat is definitely great song. I'm glad I managed to see Angelcorpse live at least once.
Exterminate and The Inexorable are phenomenal records. Can't really say which one is better.
And cover of Desecration of Virgin is one of the best I've ever heard. |
