Exterminate. Mainly because it was the first Angelcorpse I'd ever heard, plus it kicks ass all the way through, I think.

On a side note, got an Angelcorpse patch in the mail today!

Even if it sounds like a cliché (especially around here), the Goats to Azazel demo is my favorite.

This.

...Not a fan of Helmcamps vocals, so never bothered to check out any of the other albums.

Their cover of Demon Seed also rips.

Angelcorpse should reunite AGAIN, for real.

All of the bands releases are amazing, but "The Inexorable" is their finest hour in my opinion.

Hammer of Gods because it literally sounds like Thor is pounding Frost Giants to death when you listen to this album. All about truth in advertising!

Amazing band - all four albums are killer. If I had to choose then my vote would probably go to 'The Inexorable' based on number of listens.

Shame they split up - need more bands in this style of DM to fill the void because I’m bored of all these tedious Autopsy/Incantation clones…

Check out Spearhead (UK) if you haven't already -- Theomachia and Decrowning the Irenarch are about the best you'll find.

Yeh, good call with Spearhead! Definitely have that Angelcorpse vibe going, but with other influences mixed in there to keep things interesting. Hope they release something new soon – Theomachia was devastating. Would also name drop Infernal War and Impiety (especially Kaos Kommand 696 onwards) as other similar bands. Aside from these not too many do this style well.

I'd add Hacavitz

They have that "indomitable, fierce spirit" of Angelcorpse too, in my opinion

Know any other bands similar to Angelcorpse?

try blasphemic cruelty, apocalypse command and perdition temple. gene palubicki plays in all of them and all the bands more or less remind me of angelcorpse.

Anwyl's Postmortem Apocalypse, like a thrashier Angelcorpse. Blasphemic Cruelty is fuckin' great.

Allfather was a real rip off... good or bad, up to you...

Agree to some degree on Hacavitz - but nowhere near as good as the aforementioned bands.

Didn't think much of Postmortem Apocalypse, and could never get into Allfather - their stuff always seemed a bit flat and directionless. Had potential though.

Inexorable is my vote!

Great band. The first song I heard was "Wolflust" off of the Firestarter comp and it fucking annihilated me.
