Cool band. Each album different and solid.

Ravager was good as far as I remember.
I'd pick all four albums. They are all equal awesome, even Of Lucifer (bad sound, but excellent songwriting). All these four albums have outstanding tracks, and some songs are among the best ever written in the death metal history.
About Angelcorpse-worship I'd quote Impiety's Kaos Kommand and Infernal War's Redesekration. _________________ If you tell me to recycle

Sometimes you have to priorize other things in your life before music.
Helmkamp was always great guy when I met him in person. _________________ Heavy Metal Nuts

The extent of his musical output is pretty impressive, especially when you consider that he has a "day-job". |

I interviewed Helmkamp in '99 or so and the guy stayed on the phone and answered a shitload of questions for about 3+ hours; enough that I got two separate interviews out of it. Maybe he's grown less amenable to it over time. Email interviews tend to be more tedious. _________________ http://www.20buckspin.com |

For this and some of the other above posts: A bit of this came from both of us concerning really long print interviews (30 + questions / etc...) . Usually it was the case that we would have no mag/zine interest until suddenly we made some sort of news about getting ready to tour...so right when we'd be ready to leave home and go on the road trips these email interviews would flood in, and on the road without laptops and such other techy stuff it is simply impossible to keep up with any of that, so in some cases the really long interviews either got severly abridged by us or in some cases may have even been left undone, or at best completed often much later than any of the editors would have wanted...at the least i know this was the case in a few of the interviews that I fielded at those times... |

And that's perfectly fine to me, man. But it's a matter of respect: reject the interview and don't waste the interviewer's time formulating interesting questions. Maybe everyone in this forum had an awesome time chatting with Pete at shows, but it's not my case. And I think a forum is a good place to denounce things which seem us unfair, or are we supposed to talk endlessly only about our latest vinyl arrivals? |
About time for the 'which musicians I have talked to and thought to be an asshole' thread surely? heheh. |

Shame they split up - need more bands in this style of DM to fill the void because I’m bored of all these tedious Autopsy/Incantation clones… |
Check out Spearhead (UK) if you haven't already -- Theomachia and Decrowning the Irenarch are about the best you'll find. |
Know any other bands similar to Angelcorpse? |
INFERNAL WAR is pretty close. |

Yep, great covers all around. I don't think anyone has mentioned the sick version of "genghis khan" on IBB yet, either ! _________________
