|
|
There are many many thrash bands from Scandinavia lke Cranium, Nocturnal Breed, Aura Noir ...
for me INFERNÖ is the best band from Scandinavia
But I dont have a big knowledge about Scandinavian Thrash scene. Would you recommend some mainstream or oldschool bands that you like? Which one is the best thrash metal band from Scandinavia? _________________ You'll be implicated in crimes using these evil doppelgangers. Then i'll collect the bounty placed on your heads...

YEP! I don't usually think of Denmark as Scandinavia but I guess it is along with Sweden and Norway... Finland doesn't count right? |

QFT. My favorite band, period. But is Finland technically part of Scandinavia?
Otherwise...
Anaesthesia: The two tracks the submitted to the Norway Rocks compilation are among the best I've ever heard, it is a crime against humanity that these guys were never signed.
Witchhammer - 1487 kills, top of the crop speed metal.
Equinox - First two albums are godly. |

Yeah, Stone was great. Btw, the guitarist Roope Latvala plays in Children Of Bodom nowadays.
And the Scandinavia-question: technically no. Little bit offtopic:
"Scandinavia is a cultural, historical and ethno-linguistic region in northern Europe that includes the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, characterized by their common ethno-cultural heritage and language. Modern Norway and Sweden proper are situated on the Scandinavian Peninsula, whereas modern Denmark is situated on the Danish islands and Jutland. The term Scandinavia is usually used as a cultural term, but in English usage, it is occasionally confused with the purely geographical term Scandinavian Peninsula, which overlaps with Scandinavia. Sometimes the term Scandinavia is also taken to include Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Finland, on account of their historical association with the Scandinavian countries. Such usage, however, is considered inaccurate in Scandinavia, where the term Nordic countries instead refers to a broader group comprising both Scandinavia itself as well as countries and territories that are historically associated with the Scandinavian countries, including Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands."
But let's keep this in original topic. _________________ Pyhä Henki lähtee hihhulista hakkaamalla!

So is Sweden and Norway.
Back to the topic. STONE came to my mind too when seeing this topic. Although I hate technical playing, but those guys surely know how to play. Since kid I wondered why they never came famous outside Finland ("OMG, they play even better than Metallica!"), but thought that it must be Janne Joutsenniemi's vocals. I can surely understand why some hate them. _________________ Mors fennico more |
