There is this http://pc-pdx.com/show-guide concert guide. Skimming it i see on the 27th is a Mercyful Fate cover band named Lucifer's Child.
Blackwater records has some decent metal and punk shit, and shows in the backroom which may not be advertised other than on flyers. I think there is another metallish record store on 2nd street.

Mausoleum is closed to the public now. which is a shame.
Portland also has like... 500 strip clubs everywhere. Rose City Strip has "metal mondays" as cheesy as that sounds, but with bathory, motorhead and crap playing.
Brand new Aquarium just opened also. If you like baby sharks and stuff.
Mississippi Records is probably one of the better record stores to stop by, lots of used rock, garage, punk, everything. also a decent used and new metal section that is a bit small. 2nd avenue records has more metal, mostly new, like NWN and back on black reissues. and Watain t shirts.
If you can get someone to drive you to the coast, that would be ideal.
1-2 hour drive. if you like cold winter ocean winds freezing your face off. i guess you are from Texas, so that might disagree with you...

if I recall correctly OP does not drink, which is a SHAME as just down the street from Mississippi recs is Amnesia brewing co, which if you catch it at the right time has an excellent dopaceitc DIPA. also, there is a REALLY FUCKING COOL synth shop on Mississippi as well (the name fails me) but if you wanna amuse yourself playing around with awesome modular synths
blackwater and mississippi were my two favorite shops when I visited. never made it to this mentioned one on 2nd... also Discourage was okay, but a little pricey. I wish I could have made it to Exiled as I heard it was awesome and I was after noise at the time. didn't have time to make it there, but again I hear its great if you are after more avant stuff
hop works is tight too, but again you dont drink I believe. total shame!!! Ace of Spades Imperial IPA is excellent there
