I think YK is putting out some Nocturnus demo material on vinyl. Search the Coming Soon thread. _________________ People I want to kill: Russell Brand....fucking annoying. |

Good news for the NWN! rerelease. Anyway, wasn't a CD edition of the demos released something like 5-10 years ago? Was it even official? _________________ Scrutare et vide quia propheta a Galilaea non surgit! |

Great news.
Will buy this for sure.
@Xeniteia : yes there was a CD released in 2004 called "the demos" but if it's the one NWN's talking about in the quote on the post over yours, it's a bootleg.
I didnt buy it so I cant talk much about it.
Speaking of this, when will we get a reissue of Thresholds ? The Key was reissued, why not Thresholds ??!! fuck I only have a tape version. Boring. _________________ If you tell me to recycle

Thanks for the information. I'll wait for the NWN! version then.
And Thresholds need to be rereleased for sure. I own the CD since I was a teenager and it played many many times. This album conveys such a great atmosphere. The intro from "Climate Controller" was the intro of a radio show I listened to every week when I was in my late teens. The kind of stuff that gets stuck in your head for long. _________________ Scrutare et vide quia propheta a Galilaea non surgit! |

| GREAT band, I had that cd with the demo's on it. It had a forward by Mike Browning telling the story of the band and how the other members copyrighted the name 'Nocturnus' and then kicked him out of his own band. I can't remember what label it was on but i did buy it at an A & B sound so it wasn't likely a bootleg. That release is probably 8-10 years old. Can't wait for the NWN version, should be killer. |

It was reissued along with "The Key" at the time "Ethereal Tomb" was released.
EDIT: The demo collection was released by Karmageddon Media and OK'd by Browning, that's why he wrote a foreword. The copyright dispute means that Browning holds the rights to only the demos. |

| I don't understand why you'd point out that it was reissued near on 13 years ago. The poster was stating that it requires reissuing now as it is not that easy to find. |

I got the impression from I.T.'s and Xeniteia's posts that they don't know that "Thresholds" has already been reissued once. They just say that they'd like to see a "reissue" and not e.g. "a second reissue". That said, yes, this album is difficult to get a hold of. Who knows why it wasn't reissued along with "The Key" back in 2007 (if memory serves me correct). Perhaps the general consensus is that there's not a big demand for it? |

| No idea why it hasn't been reissued again - it's not that good though. |

My mistake. I don't follow what is (re)released since a few years, especially when I already own an original. Then I didn't see this one pass, and a proper CD and vinyl rerelease may have been welcome. I still own the original Earache CD but it's one of the few albums I'd gladly see reissued on vinyl (and CD for those who prefer this latter format). _________________ Scrutare et vide quia propheta a Galilaea non surgit! |

| I too would welcome a new reissue. I think our best bet is that some UG label will handle it because I'm sure no big label (including Earache) is interested. Time will tell. |
