I'm sure there's a thread about the new album here somewhere. But the few tracks I've heard sound like more of the same -- meaning it's really well-played, well-written death metal that reminds me of Distortion era Swedish crust/metal.

It's not released yet, but I'm sure Euro distros will be getting it.

I'm kinda amazed they aren't bigger than they are. I also think it's interesting that they've gone from NWN, to 20BS, to Dark Descent -- all quality labels that cover similar ground. I don't know if that's by design or how it's just worked out, and it doesn't matter at all in the end, but what the hey.

I thought their second album was a dud, never bothered checking them out after that.

Well, I won't argue over taste, but I liked it. I think they would do really well with the whole Entombed-core, Wolfbrigade scene.

Great band and they seem to get better with each release. I haven't heard Temple of Phobos yet, but I definitely am looking forward to it.

I believe Dark Descent said he will be streaming the whole album tomorrow (Friday July 8th). Can't wait to hear it, but I'll probably just blind buy it without listening to the stream.

I too thought the second was a dud at first, but it really, really grew on me. Then Relics of Sulphur Salvation came and quickly revealed itself to be their best work yet.

The new Vanhelgd album, Temple of Phobos, is streaming in full on our Bandcamp page. You can also order the CD/vinyl through the same page or through our web store. CDs shipping now. We are awaiting vinyl and shirts which should be shipping to us very soon.

Saw pictures of "temple of phobos" shirts on facebook. Are they done by label or by band itself. How much and give it to me!

Listening new Vanhelgd just now. Been only few songs but already noticed that when old Vanhelgd reminded me about old Paradise Lost, this new one is much more like old My Dying Bride.
