Oh yes. Nihil should try to exhume his old tape. _________________

Indeed. Also would like to hear Katatonia - Sounds of Decay as original hangover-version. |

Would be interesting to hear. |

I love to hear version of EDT that was not radio play heavy metal pretending be black metal.
Demo is almost unlisten by the way. I got it in trade with the band back in day for a pirate copy of old Amiga game call Chuck Rock. |

I'll be damned if at least one black metal band wasn't influenced by MOONSTONE. _________________ §:-«l |

Yep.
Btw, I just sat down and compared the regular and the limited Celtic Cross version of Cruelty on my ADAM A7X's. It's the exact same master. Too bad. _________________ http://www.dissectionforum.dk/ |

I did that too yesterday and noticed it was indeed the same. But the Celtic Cross edition has that awesome Iron Maiden cover and the improved version of the closing track. To make matters more confusing, I have heard another version of the Iron Maiden cover which omits certain keyboard parts and some people seem to be saying that certain bits and pieces on the double disc version differ from the other versions of the album. I don't know what to think anymore, maybe it's a big fat communist plot. I guess I'll just listen to the damn thing and not worry about what might or might not be in there.
I would like to hear a proper "alternative mix" version though... _________________ §:-«l |

It would indeed be interesting to hear a complete remix of the album.
From wiki:
| Quote: | Production
The production and mixing for Cruelty and the Beast has attracted some criticism, particularly for the sound quality of the drumming and the mixing of the female vocals and guitars. Sarah Jezebel Deva revealed on the band's official messageboards:
"[The production is] absolute rubbish. I remember when I first heard it—Dani played it—I walked out with tears in my eyes. I had spent twenty-five hours working in the studio on that album and it sounded like I had my head in a toilet [...] most of my vocals you couldn't hear." After walking out of the room after Dani played it to her, she claimed to have bumped into drummer Nicholas Barker, who also expressed his dissatisfaction. |

I've always wanted to hear the DIMMU BORGIR demo. The 7" has a special place in my youth. I think I owned it and sold it on eBay years back. Can't remember. _________________ #NuclearWarMeow |

Myself, like many others on here I'm sure, have a soft spot for the early works of Cradle. The principle of evil made flesh, dusk, and cruelty are fantastic releases. The vampiric atmosphere mixed with the razor sharp riffs just works flawlessly.
I think early Cof shits on anything Dimmu has ever done.
I throw on Dusk and her embrace at least 2-3 times a week, to me that's an essential metal release. |

I was looking for the COF thread about the new record "The Manticore and Other Horrors" but could not find it.
Anyway - "The Manticore" is..... REALLY GOOD!
The best thing they have done since "Midian" for sure.
A log of great riffs, less cheese, less gothy, more brutal, more Black Metal and more straigh METAL.
I can't believe I am typing this, but check it out, especially if you USED to like the band but jumped off a long time ago, like me. _________________ We Are Satan's Generation And We Don't Give A Fuck! |
