I've been trying to look into some of the zines that are a must read for everyone into them and I'd like a few recmmendations, the only ones I've read so far that I consider essential are Slayer Mag and Dauthus, but I know there are many more out there.

I'd say Kaleidoscope and Existentiell are both really interesting zines for different reasons.

Witchcraft is excellent if you're into black metal.

Also there's a scanned zines thread if you don't already know:

Best contribution on the thread was this site, it has a lot of cool old zines.

SLAVES and that last issue of Quadrivium. Call From the Grave, Vatra I Sumpor, Invocation of Obscene Gods, and Headsplit are all pretty cool too.

Kaleidoscope, Arise!, Horrible Eyes and Existentiell are pretty unique. Last Imhotep is great too.

With the last Horrible eyes issue they tried so hard to copy Dauthus it was ridiculous. Every bit of originality sacrificed for the sake of imitating their idol.

By far the best active zine following it`s own path is The sinister flame if you look for in-depth interviews and interesting articles all written in excellent English.

That Quadrivium book is noteworthy as well.

Even if there could be obvious similarities with Dauthus, especially on the layout, the zine is still amazing, it's done with really good taste, and has a lot of great interviews.
