Motörhead isn't NWOBHM at all, i may be wrong but to me NWOBHM is basically heavy metal bands from uk formed after 77( after the punk wave) and active during the 80ies. 
Edit: my bad... 1st album in 1977 so they might be considered as part of it pfff i don't know. I'm lost  |

Motorhead is the very first crossover band actually. I wouldn't even call them a heavy metal band according to the strict definition of the term.

You also claimed Black Sabbath to not play heavy metal, didn't you?
Motorhead plays heavy/speed metal, simple as that. Some punk influence doesn't make them another genre.
They aren't NWOBHM because the term is used for bands created later. |

| That Gaskin LP BBTAD put out is great. I think the first Angel Witch LP is my favorite NWOBHM record though I'm by no means an expert on the genre. |

The "new wave" started in about 79, however there are always exceptions. But motorhead did start too early.

First crossover band? Wow... I'm done paying attention to a single word you have to say about classic metal... that's a pretty big miss right there.

i'dgo as far to say that any post-motorhead band who has zero motorhead influence isn't real metal!
