I prefer the scuzzy sound of the original, whether it was intended that way or not.

Nobody would prefer the old sound if the remaster was released at its time, get over with it.

Here's a good contrast.

ORIGINAL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_YrYhNcf4c

REMASTER

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIfbpArtn8s

You might notice some detail and subtlety lost, as well as dynamics flattened.

Amazing! I take it this is a quick taste of the direction of the new album.

I will look for it and upload it tonight.

It's the project Ad Absurdum, by the way.

I really don't think there's a single poster on this board that would give credit to a remix for simply "turning up the volume".

Yep. Asgardsrei remix is great because it sounds like a fucking atombomb now.

This.

I loved the original Asgardsrei. But now it sits in a box collecting dust, because the 2012 version is vastly superior in every single way. Period.

Hm, musically i prefer the original one, aswell as aesthetically... I do not know any Black Metal album that has a more supreme artwork than the gatefold LP w. poster!
