How does everyone here store their tapes?

I've managed to amass quite a few, and I'm thinking my current methods of storage aren't very efficient. I've been thinking of getting a few of those Napa Valley 100-tape racks off Ebay, but does anyone have any other recommendations or better options?

Apologies if this content has already been covered in another thread.

I always rewind my tapes, then I place them vertically, with the tape itself facing down. I have them all on a bookshelf outside of direct sunlight.

I strap them to my cat, and whenever I want to listen to a tape I shake my treat bag.

Cheaper than buying a shelf. Tapes on demand!

If you want to put them on your walls, Ikea sells a wall-mounted spice rack that perfectly fits cassettes too.

Posted this in "How do you keep your record collection" before.

Had cassette storage problems for years. Then we moved to a bigger house and my girlfriend had the idea to buy a cabinet just for tapes. Found this one second hand, fits roughly 6000 tapes, now stands in our hallway.

One look at that cabinet and I realized that traditional library card cabinets could be a perfect tape storage furniture, with their ca. 12x7cm slide boxes.

This is pretty good for both CD and cassettes:

I use this one. I think you can store approx. 45 tapes in a drawer (= 270 in the whole unit).
