Necromantia - The Sound of Lucifer Storming Heaven

I'd never have expected such a bad album...

Well, that's it with the opinions. Here're some of my fave albums from the last years in the lists...

I agree with the Repugnant. The production is irritating. Thin, weak guitars...just a mess.

That fucking thing should be remixed with a little more meat to it.

Great album, but I hate the sound. I listen to the demos much more.

I love the production. I don't think it sounds weak but weird on purpose and really fitting to the music. But you know, it's a matter of tastes

Layout and song wise, it's fucking great shit. But the production just reminds me of banging on pots and pans.

But I don't know. I guess it has a coldness that's fitting, which I see and understand.

That's because everyone knows they suck. They are one of those bands you can tell are awful without even listening to them.

2nd Proclamation is as good as the first.

I was dissappointed from the looks of the Evil Blood 83-86 Best Of. Just CDRs, pixellated 2 page "booklet" and even no backcover. 15 pounds are a bit exaggerated...anyway good stuff on it

Wouldn't say disappointed to the fucking ground, but the last Angelcorpse wasn't what I'd consider a good return. Once again though, it has to do with production. Way too muddy and muffled.

INQUISITION- MAGNIFICENT GLORIFICATION OF LUCIFER
Crap production and lacking the occult feeling of the previous stuff on many songs. A good thing they came back strong with their latest killer album!

I'd have to say their third album for me. Black Seeds of Vengeance was great but the third album was just so forgettable. Listened to it quite a few times thinking I'd get into it but don't remember a thing about it.

I'd have to agree with you there, I felt really let down by that album. There's a really funny bit, I think it's on the second song where he sounds like he's repeating: "Frogspaaaawn".

Enslaved's Ruun was a pretty big let-down, but honestly I didn't expect much after Isa.

Even though it marked the shift in their style, I liked (and still enjoy) Immortal's At the Heart of Winter. Then Damned in Black came out and talk about dissapointment! That album seems slapped together and the cover image is laughable.
