Yes, it's Saturday night and I've overdosed on Veles, Graveland and Behemoth. Now I'm looking for bands that are inspired by those bands as well as other Polish Black Metal bands. I'm not looking for bands that sound like Behemoth post-Grom but rather bands that sound like Graveland and bands related to it. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it. You already know Gontyna Kry's Welowie and the other old polish classics right? _________________ http://www.dissectionforum.dk/ |

Pazuzu (USA) sounds like Legion, Superior (USA) sounds like Veles, Eternum sounds like Graveland/Infernum.
Parts of Granulosum sound like Legion too. |

Yeah, I've gone through a shitload of old Polish Black Metal. I usually take the same route which is Graveland, then on to early Behemoth, then Veles and/or Thor's Hammer. If I'm still in the mood I'll go through Gontyna Kry, Hefeystos, Iuvenes, Perunwit, North, Northland and My Infinite Kingdom. Perhaps I'll even throw on Mastiphal for some Polish symphoblack. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it. Legion of Doom's 'For Those of the Blood' sounds more Polish to me than Greek. Especially the title track.
There were big threads on both the Temple of Fullmoon stuff and Polish bands in general in the past year, if you can be arsed to search for them. |

Night on the Bare Mountain is still one of the records from Poland that I listen to on a very regular basis. _________________

I'm familiar with those threads, but I'm basically looking for the "bastard" offspring of that scene, rather than bands that belong(ed) to the scene itself. So I started this thread, and you hope you'll forgive me, to see if there was anything out there I had missed. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it. Yeah, I put it on the other day but besides Darken's keyboards I didn't really find anything of interest. This used to be one of my favorite PBM albums. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it. Ravenmoon Sanctuary and Necrostrigis, but I noticed you didn't mention Infernum or Fullmoon in your listening habits, two of the best out of Poland. _________________

EVILFEAST
(still polish which was not the point of the post, but a different "wave" that was definitely influenced by the previously mentioned acts at least) _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

Fullmoon have been absent, even though I had that demo some time ago. I do listen to Infernum occasionally but I'm petty sometimes and that story surrounding Karcharoth made me not want to listen to the band for a long time... _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it.
