Seems like someone in Sweden has a found a market for making reprints of classic zines. Repulsive Records is the only one I've seen selling these. If that's pointing a finger, then so be it.
All the moral considerations aside, anyone who has actually read these?
I remember reading negative things about Repulsive Records?

sounds like an interesting way for a lot of "n00bs" and such to get proper perspective of the scene "back in the day" as opposed to all the "revisionism" we hear or see nowadays. I'm curious as to the quality of these myself. I see no harm if they are not being sold or even worse flipped as originals.
I have no experience with the label, but would definitely be into checking these out if they become more widely available _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

I think it's a good idea, looking for that Thanathography 'zine, really hard to find also in pdf or scanned.
In honesty, I have a small collection of old 'zines bootlegged by me like Voices From The Darkside or Slayer Mag.
I do not see anything wrong with that.

ZAST, The Old Magazine from Mortiis where Printed several Times.
and i don't think the Reprints are interesting for n00bs, since you can easily download enough to be well informed from that time + endless Infos on the Net+TV. Seems more for Collectors, they are also the ones with enought money to buy it all. _________________ OutNext:

hmmm. well I think it would be cool to have on hand to read, as physical text will always be superior to going blind staring at a computer screen. I don't see these as having collectible monetary value, but something cool for true maniacs to enjoy or possibly relive the days of old again. I personally used to never care about zines, but in recent years I have got into reading/collecting a few that have classic interviews, or interviews with bands I highly enjoy otherwise that do not make their presence/information absolutely accessible to the internet. I know, rare thing these days, but there are still some out there... Evilfeast doing an interview for To Cold Void might be a good example _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

At least they have the decency to mention clearly in the item description that these are later editions, "not official" and the prices are reasonable between 4,5-6 euros. |

I don't see any issues with this as long as they're not trying to pass them off as anything other than reprints. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon

this.
i also think there's nothing wrong in xeroxing zines, it was part of the thing at least at the beginning. then if the editor's want it limited for whatever reason, ok, i respect his will, but i do not agree.
spreading old zines is perhaps the BEST thing that can happen to the "scene" nowadays. _________________

I agree. The huge numbers of children of the Youtube generation around saying Venom have nothing to do with black metal and that sort of retarded shit would be reduced a great deal once these kids read what their black metal heroes had to say back in the day. |

Agreed, as long as they're not being passed off as originals for cclletor's prices. _________________
