| So...what does everyone think of this era of Possessed? I've been listening to the 91 and 93 demos lately and I think their awesome! I'm surprised a label didn't sign them at this time. Yeah...it was only Mike Torrao and "other" guys but god damn do these songs shred! THE SEVENTH SIGN... |

Yeah it's not the same band, but it's good music. I wonder how hard it would be to do an official release of those demos now. _________________

It's good but nothing outstanding.
Without the Possessed-logo, probably no one would care. |

People care too much about far worse and less passionate music than that stuff... _________________

Probably not of much interest to anyone who wants to hear Possessed per se, but thought I would mention two of the guys from reformed Mike Torrao Possessed later did a band called Thanotopsis which was more of nonfago tech death metal thing influenced by stuff like mid/late Death, Disincarnate, later Pestilence from what I remember. Here's a track if anyone is interested.

If you take it for what it is and don't compare it to classic Possessed, it's fairly good stuff. Not reinventing the wheel by any mean but certainly solid, there was a pretty interesting interview with Torrao and Bob Yost on Hammer of Damnation #2. If anything, this has more rights to be called Possessed than Becerra touring Europe with his facebook pals. _________________ Thread derailed

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?
