How bad the drumming is on the first 3 BOLT THROWER records....no really....listen close....BAD.
Love the band though and the drumming got way better as time went on, thankfully.

Fairy tale allusions or nursery rhyme type motifs are always the biggest face palms in my opinion. Slightly less annoying example being the “ashes ashes we all fall down” intro line in GBK’s Slums of Jerusalem.
There’s also a Humpty Dumpty reference in the new Dead Can Dance album along the lines of “all the kings horses and all the kings men will never put the children of the sun back together again”.

"Sacrificed" on The Spectral Sorrows and the clean vocal line in "Enigma" on Orthodox. Both of which shit on nearly perfect albums.
The drumming on the Goatlord album and also on lots of early Graveland and Veles stuff. It took me a long time to get over how how totally shit the performance is, but now I love all of it.
