As much as I dig the Symphonic, Tolkienesque style of their latter records, I still voted for "Lugburz". That's one great Black Metal-album, and this record - along with the demos - is part of the bedrock of Austrian/German Black Metal forever. _________________ Horde Absurd: www.hordeabsurd.com

Nightshade Forests closely followed by Stronghold. Kortirion Among the Trees is easily Summoning's best song. |

For some reason I was sure Minas Morgul will be the winner but I did not expect such a big difference compared to the other records. If you look at the poll all albums are head to head except Minas Morgul, also expected this because of their flawless discography.
On the other hand I read Dol Guldur is the best selling album of the band. I'd be interested what does it mean in the case of a band like Summoning? |

An incredible discography to say the least, but I'll go with Stronghold. _________________ www.UnbornProductions.com

While were at it:
Does anyone know where this particular main melody on "Marching Homewards" was lifted from? Sounds extremely familiar to my ears. |

No complaints. If you're thinking about getting them, don't hesitate. _________________ www.UnbornProductions.com

Right? I'm thinking on it since years. For some reason I was sure Ricky Martin stolen the melody for his World Cup song but didn't hear that track since the World Cup and never checked it out. If not that I'm still sure the melody appeared in a popular song just can't recall in which one... |

Haha, now as you say it, there's is really a similarity to that Ricky Martin song, hilarious!
But I think it's an older melody, maybe from a traditional folk song or so. Really curious about that. |
