And why do you think ToD will do it better than NR? Nightshade Forest an Oath Bound were both limited to 500 copies. And Oath Bound wasnt cheaper as the NR records.

Plus ToD generally has the same distribution as Napalm aka none (and much higher postage rates).

You're right. Just named ToD cause they already did Summoning on vinyl and I just meant the quality of the releases in this case.
Don't have the Oath Bound, but the whole Nightshade Forests package is better than those Napalm releases I think.
Also 15 for a PIC-LP in gatefold plus insert and a (useless) certificate seems cheaper to me than 22.50 for a coloured DLP in gatefold without anything.

EP and the least popular album - looks reasonable actually.
But 500 copies of "Stronghold"? Really?

I have both of them.
At least TOD used normal non-blurry art for jackets.

Lugburz, although the two after that one are good too in their own way.

Recently I sent a mail to Napalm concerning the general complaints about the vinyl re-releases.

The answer in short:
- they didn't want to press 1000 or more from each to keep it in their shelves forever (proven wrong already)
- 500 isn't an extreme limitation, cause many underground bands/labels often do 150 copies or less (since when is Summoning a small underground band?)
- still, they admit this limitation is a good thing to hype these releases and the band
- they took a lot of care about the cover artworks on the bigger format, the result is the best they could offer
- no answer concerning the problems of distribution for overseas customers
- no answer concerning the high price for a standard gatefold without booklet, printed inner sleeves, lyric sheet etc.

Fuck Napalm, wish Temple of Darkness or any other label that knows how to treat vinyl would take care of Old Mornings Dawn, but I doubt it.

What a bunch of fucking bullshit.

Speaking about shitty blurry / pixelise artwork, Osmose re release of Enslaved's Bloodhemn seems to be awful aswell Confused

Napalm just reissued the Nightshade Forests and Oath Bound. As Usual, coloured version limited to 300 and gold limited to 200.

To those who own some of the Napalm reissues, how do these sound ?

Yeah just preordered those. They also will be doing vinyl reissue of Falkenbach - ...Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri... . Also had to get one of those.

Summoning vinyl reissues sound great, but I think they could have done better job with the cover artworks.

I agree, I ordered the deluxe box for OMD, the quality of the cover for the CD is really poor. We'll see if they get better with these releases.
