great news. Seen SWANS twice and Gira solo once. I have such a huge level of respect for everything he's done really - one of the very few artists who can be "extreme without, to paraphrase that awful Paul Simon song, "ending up a cartoon in a cartoon graveyard". Seemed really down to earth and friendly when I met him after the recent Melbourne gigs too. _________________ "14 words: we must secure the depravation of the children and ruin the whole fucking world..." |

Hmm, I wonder the same also. Especially a current live show. _________________ Speeding Through Hell!

Best band ever and easily the best live experience ever. Will be seeing them again this weekend.
Even if you don't like their records I recommend going to one of their shows if you get the chance. |

Finally just got back my copy of The Consumer after it'd been floating around with people for like 3 years. I had written it off as lost. Horrifying book...
... And of course SWANS are the greatest. Nothing beats the live recordings. _________________ http://www.20buckspin.com |

im a complete turd and got too cheap to shell out $40 for the lady and I to catch Swans on this last US go round... kinda regret this decision now, but I was sorta thinking this could be like every old band that has recently reunited and sucked. I hear my presumption was wrong after the fact _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

Sorry, but if that is so, then Swans is not the best band ever. |

| I'd like repress of that last LP. First listen I didn't care for it it; felt too dramatic but it got better n' better with each listen. Except for the final song. |
