| super tough call.. both for different reasons.. Immolation inches it out though.. my favorite deathmetal band overall live and on cd... but Incan is also as solid as it gets. |

Kind of a tough choice, but I am going to pick Immolation, looking forward to the new album this year.

| Interesting to see most of the replies defending Immolation while the results have remained very close to a tie by 1-2 votes since the thread started. But it's a good war, I assume - total respect for both bands. |

| Incantation is the victor even though I haven't even bothered checking out their latest album. I don't care for any of their songs with McEntee on vocals. Immolation has more mediocre material and I honestly don't care about anything they put out after Unholy Cult. Besides, that whole Scion fiasco marked them as sellouts and I can't take them seriously at all now, nevermind overlooking their third-grade level lyrics. |

| Immolation. Every CD has its own unique sound, and their stuff is more varied. Incantation can get very repetitive. |

| As lame as this might sound, for me, Incantation is still able to retain a little bit of a seriously evil vibe that so few bands ever pulled off well, and even fewer were able to maintain. |
