So the recent Thergothon thread has made me revisit them and other bands in the style (or similar). And now I'm looking for more, I know the genre is very limited when it comes to quality so try and recommend me the really good stuff Cool

Already familiar with bands like Nortt, Mournful Congregation, Skepticism, Worship, Loss..

Esoteric's last album, Tyranny's discography, Catacombs discography and the Sinistrous Diabolus LP. Ea is also worth checking out.

The only band I can think of is Wormphlegm at the moment. I'm sure you'll love this stuff.

The Stabat Mater track on the Crushing the Holy Trinity compilation is absolutely crushing, mind-blowing, mandatory, killer, disgusting or whatever the preferred nomenclature is these days.

It will vaporize your falling knees beneath the pyramids.

Comatose Vigil. Not a gleam of hope is incredibly depressing. Very synth based stuff though.
Their other bands Mare Infinitum and Abstract Spirit are good as well.

I really like Celestiial:

And Faal from The Netherlands are very good as well:

While you're at it, check out Akelei. Not funeral doom but very sad death/doom with clean sung Dutch lyrics. Very good! Members of Faal.

Edit:
Almost forgot about this gem:

FUNERALIUM! Though we are NOT "Funeral Doom" (the name is somewhat misleading) strictly speaking but a mix of Doom, Death and Black. This should crush you
Shameless self-promotion:

One of the best "Doom" metal album of 2013 for sure! Cool

And with Disjecta Membrae I carry the torch of Torture Doom. New stuff in 2014

If you like Nortt, you should try listening to some Striborg stuff (e.g. Perceiving The World With Hate) although it's not exactly what I would call "doom"
