Just finished reading an older interview with the infamous ross bay maniacs and it was brought to my attention that sometime in the mid to late 80's they had covered the track "The Return of Darkness and Evil" by Bathory.
Does a recording exsist of this cover?? Would love to hear that. I'm also curious as to if it was the version on The Return of the Scandanavian Metal Attack version.
Let me know if you have any info on this. |

I think it was just something they played at rehearsals. A lot of bands do that...

| There's a possibility it exists on some obscure unobtainable reh/demo tape... but it could also be it was never recorded. |

| Yeah, I'm sure it was just a rehearsal if anything. I think they covered Slayer's Black Magic back then as well. |

Yes, they use to cover "Chemical Warfare" by Slayer, "Blasphemer" by Sodom etc... But no actual recordings of them exist. |

Oh wow, that's cool. I could see them covering Rapid Fire, Starbreaker... some of the faster Priest tracks. |

Black Winds: We've played lots of covers when rehearsing but not live.
Which covers did you do?
Black Winds: Hmmm, there was a couple of Bathory songs, Sodom. Even a Priest tune or two.
Traditional Sodomizer: I seem to remember playing "War" and "Equia mathor", I can't spell the name of that song. |
