I just tried to describe Dead Raven Choir and compared his music to hers. She's a crazy classic, I got to know about her from the thanks list of the Disembowelment album. I like it when she covers old blues tracks and sings about AIDS. _________________ What beats global warming? nuclear winter |

Haha, you hit the nail right on the head. That was the first thing I thought when I saw this topic earlier this day. _________________

My favorite albums
Litanies of Satan
Saint of the Pit
The Pianist
though I haven't kept up with her calaogue over the last decade.
She is always awesome live too. Seen her 5 or 6 times now and she is always devastating. _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

The Litanies of Satan |
Gotta disagree with this one. While this is certainly her most ”cult” work, I think it's garbage. Weird for weird sake for the most part..just a bunch of mumbling/chattering/giggling/ etc. It's annoying after a while and doesn't hold the emotional weight that most of her work does. I came home from work yesterday to find my wife spinning this LP for the first time in a couple years and it only reinforced my opinion of it.
Id recommend Plague Mask, Divine Punishment, Saint of The Pit or Guilty Guilty Guilty. The later is renditions of old blues classics and is stunning and haunting. I saw her play it in it's entirety a few years back and I had chills down my spine the whole time. _________________
