The production on Opus Nocturne lacks something, but the album has some good songs nevertheless. I did not cry when I heard the title track for the first time, even though Morgan said in an interview, that it's the kind of song that will make even grown-up men shed a tear or two.
Was there something wrong with the vinyl pressing of the 2nd album, as in not worth hunting down?

Yes there is something wrong with the vinyl of the 2nd album. it suffers from drop-outs.

Dark Endless, Those of the Unlight and Opus Nocturne are black metal essentials in my opinion. I could spin these 3 on a daily basis.
As far as the Legion era goes... Heaven Shall Burn and Nightwing are the only 2 I really listen to regularly.
These days... Meh. Major hit and miss for me. |
