"Funeral Throne present 'Hypnotic Coils' - the first track to be made available from their as yet unreleased second album 'Threshold'.
The track is a monument to profane spirituality, toxic abuse and contact with sinister forces. Beyond is where we learn...
This IS underground Black Metal - in His name. FUCK YOU!
Recorded/produced by James Walford & Funeral Throne."

We don't always do Black Metal right here in the UK (Abgott, Eastern Front and Artisian come to mind), but when we do, it's done properly. Funeral Throne are one of the better quality outputs from our isles, and growing in leaps and bounds with a live history record performing alongside VON, Watain, Aura Noir, Hell Militia, Vomitor, Craven Idol, Vulcano and Impaled Nazarene amongst others - as well as headlining performances all over the UK, their fusion of traditional, back to basics Black Metal fused with NWOBHM composition has made them one of the best and most promising new bands to emerge.
After the cessation of Satanas Rex (metal sub-imprint of noise/experimental label, Cold Springs) who released their debut album "Nihil Sine Diabolus", the band have undergone catharsis to remerge anew - Novus Ortus, as presented by a limited promotional CD in 2010 presenting their new vessel of darkness. They are currently searching for labels to release their second album "Threshold".

I knew you'd say something like that, mate.
Nevertheless, as I said, they've come on in leaps and bounds so they've refined themselves a lot in recent years. I hope this new album gets them more international interest in what they've doing. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

How is this any less redundant than Eastern Front et al....? _________________ "War is to man what maternity is to woman. I do not believe in peace, but I find it depressing, and a negation of all human virtues of man." |

First, classic Norsecore, 'From the Frozen North' of Birmingham, then jumping on the Orthodox bandwagon and now using 70s retro imagery and claiming 'NWOBHM' influence.
The word confused springs to mind. |

Mediocre. If I want traditional heavy metal I'll listen to Priest. Is there any need for this shit to be claimed as black metal? Pedestrian as fuck. _________________
