Everything is great, but nothing was as great as the debut EP. It's so raw and the songs are the best stuff they ever did.

Don't Break The Oath no question. The bass playing on that is so awesome. The songs are incredible. The lead shit is out of this world. King's vocals are off the fucking charts!! Everything about that album is heavy metal perfection!! If I were the sort of person to rate albums on M-A (which I assure you friends, I most certainly am not) I would rate it 100% or higher!!!

Agreed. They captured almost a ritualistic atmosphere on Oath that I don't think any band has matched. |

Voted for Nuns... but Melissa and Don't Break the Oath are kinda on the same line, quickly followed by the magnificent In the Shadows... One of the best bands ever to exist. High hopes to see them live someday, at least I'll see the King next summer!
If you don't like Mercyful Fate, you can fuck off from metal.

| I feel tempted to vote for Return Of The Vampire just for the title track and Burning The Cross (and On A Night Of Full Moon, which is way better than Desecration Of Souls, especially the intro). |
