Like me as well mr. dictionary
Btw, never before heard the term stenchcore, must be my ignorance... but for me these are all crust/punk or d-beat/punk. |
well it's all crust... I'm just sayin d-beat and crust are two different things. Although I'm sure if you look up crust on wikipedia you'll probably just find a bunch of d-beat bands. But as for stenchcore, it's just old school style crust is all, just a sub-sub genre that I just personally think has been overshadowed by all this newer uber anarcho crust punk that mostly sounds like a more extreme version of newer street punk than anything else. It's all crust... just in my opinion stenchcore crust is better. _________________ http://antisocialevolution.altervista.org |

Good band, but they have more of a hardcore/power violence focus. _________________ What beats global warming? nuclear winter |

Nobody mentioned Extreme Noise Terror. That band fucking rules. Early Napalm and Carcass. Suppose these three are grind, but it was all the same scene.
Suicidal Supermarket Trolleys, cheesey as fuck but its some classic old school punk:

I mentioned Stormcrow. |
My mistake. I skimmed the thread. Someone mentioned Skaven. Yes. I don't think anyone's mentioned them yet but Badr Vogu is really great. Oakland produces the best crust.

Very actual thread... Crude SS are worth of listening and of course Raw Noise! The jackets aren't really good but the sound rules.

Opinions on Tragedy? Especially on the latest album Darker Days Ahead? I'm sure many of you here don't like them so much but I love this band. It took time for me to love the new album and the new direction of the band. But it's still heavy music, just too slow compared to the previous ones. Excellent live band as well. Probably Vengeance is my fave and I consider that record as one of the best albums in this style. |

Yeah still like Tragedy although these days it's kinda cool to be into noisier & rawer d-beat stuff or whatever and badmouth them. Darker Days Ahead is fucking amazing, one of the last year's best for me. I like it almost as much as Vengeance... almost. _________________ Alone Wankyng |

Yeah for me too, but it's far from Vengeance.
I rank their records as:
1. Vengeance
2. Tragedy
3. Nerve Damage
4. Darker Days Ahead |

I only enjoy the first Tragedy LP. It still had tons of HHIG tendencies. Once they found their own sound, they suck. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon
