| I've actually been re-visiting this band all week. ITNE was the first BM album I'd ever heard so its definitely nostalgic, but I think they captured something really magical on that album. Classic. |

| One of the few bands where I like all their albums, and each album is good in its own way. I voted for Prometheus to redress the balance a bit, and because it's got Tongue of Fire, probably my favourite song of theirs. |

| Difficult choice. Ended up voted for Anthems since this is probably, on balance, the album is listen to most. However, all their releases are equally superb - XI Equilibrium and Prometheus are both masterpieces in their own right. |

the first MLP is indeed mentioned not enough.
so eerie. their best material.
two things:
1. With that MLP Emperor made keyboards widely acceptable in BM
2. I think without this MLP early graveland, veles, infernum etc. wouldn't sound as they did.
thank you for your attention - carry on. |

| Anthems definitely ... the first one I got was ITNE but compared to Anthems its semiboring despite having some great songs. |

Well the use of shitty casio synth/keys became a constant in bm around '95. I think it was the first CoF album which influenced that, of course ItNE played a role as well, the mlp well not so much imo.
Anyway, the mini album + 7" obviously are their ultimate masterpieces, as much as I like In the Nightside it doesn't capture the insanely evil atmosphere of those two recordings, they left behind all those Hellhammer influences on the first full length, which is never a good thing to do. I see Anthems still ranking high, which again tells a lot on the IQ of people who got into metal in the late '90ies. _________________ Thread derailed

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?
I want that Balwezo Westijiz–Urkraftens Mystik LP but wanted to get it with the Bekëth Nexëhmü |

I think this is entirely accurate.
Also, fuck Emperor for putting those horrible keys on Night of the Graveless Souls. It almost ruins the song. The MLP would be perfection if not for that shit. |
