With all the false hate and fake evil going around, and the abundance of generic bestial whatever and goat so and so bands out there, I think its time we swallowed our tough guy pride and talk about music you're embarrassed to like. I was thinking of this as I was at the Scorpions show last night. Cinderella was the opening band, and to my surprise...they were actually really good. They put on a good show and had some pretty rippin guitar parts. So, Cinderella is now music I am embarrassed to like Embarassed

haha, i've been thinking of making a thread like this for a few months. i would have called it "un-guilty pleasures". theres bands i listen to that some people might be ashamed to admit to, but nah, guilt and shame really aren't things i'm used to.

here's my un-kvlt list:

theres more i'm forgetting. all i'm saying with this is that just because i've moved on from music like that (YEARS AND YEARS AGO) doesn't mean that all of a sudden bands i've liked for years suddenly become gay and stupid over night. that would be the most poser and trend thing to do i think, to just shun all the "unkvlt" things i've always liked.

Well, I guess it should have been labeled the guilty pleasure thread. I'm not embarrassed of what I like either, and I'm alone in a lot of my interests, but everyone does have some guilty pleasures...and they tend to be amusing.

But really, it's pretty douchy to listen to music loudly just to force it on other people. I don't care if you're listening to Hellhammer or Haydn, nobody gives a fuck what you're listening to so why blast it at a volume that they can't escape?

EDIT* I really enjoy Derniere Volonte too (almost gayer than lady gaga)

and i forgot to add that i'm not embarassed whatsoever of anything i listen to. im even going on a date to a lady gaga concert next week. (yes with a female)
