Sargeist post Disciple of the Heinous Path era: Christian Black Metal.

I got Satanic Black Devotion when it came out and thought it was boring. Not just "heavily influenced" by the early Norwegian scene, but several actual stolen riffs. Boring and uninspired album nevertheless. Any other release that's really worth checking out?
Behexen is way better, even though I dont exactly worship them either. |

Actually I prefer to listen Sargeist these days as I don't like the direction of nowadays Behexen. Comparing is not maybe very good idea since the bands are quite different despite sharing same band members. _________________

Yeah, last Behexen album was quite boring. And I really like the swedish orthodox scene. Still one of the better Finnish BM-bands to see on stage these days. |

If you think cover is funny then you probably dont like Transilvanian Hunger or Live In Leipzig either?
Anyway good news, some of the best material from Sargeist is non-full lenght releases (like necromancy 7" their best songs in my opinion). Good to have these on CD too. Definately gonna pick this up. |

Yes, The Dark Embrace is great, but if you don't like Satanic Black Devotion, maybe this is not for you.
Old Sargeist is a thousand times better than Behexen.
On a side note: I was really fucked up yesterday, but I don't regret what I say, Let The Devil In is a Sausage Fest, but also a great album for people with clinic depression, I mean... Those happy riffs are the perfect Antidepressant for some miserable pals. _________________ Attacked by Fire!.

Don't be ridiculous now. Satanic Black Devotion is little more than a compilation of trashed/unused riffs from Horna's rehearsals and as the other guy pointed out it sounds sterile and ultimately boring. Haven't listened to the other records but Behexen clearly is on another planet in terms of song-writing. _________________ Thread derailed

Well, to each his own.
Behexen bores the shit out of me, of course, sounds more "original", but I'm not one of those people who judge the bands for how original is their sound.
Also, My Soul for His Glory is one of the worst shit I ever heard. _________________ Attacked by Fire!. |

You seriously have a strange idea of what "happy" means in my opinion.
I wonder what is "happy" in Argentina
Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly blaming you or your tastes and I don't really feel the necessity to change your mind but although you may dislike it, LtDi has some of the most powerful and inspired european riffs of the last years.
Simply, it's not a style that conquers every country, leave it to us _________________ TRADELIST & WANTLIST
