Mayhem - Mediolanum Capta Est
I know it's a live album but it still counts. Vocals are also pretty horrible, Maniac sounds like Donald Duck.

Never liked those at all either. Takes a lot away from the album for me.

Some of you guys are very picky. I don't think I ever particularly noticed the drums on the album, which I regard as a good thing usually. Listening to it now, they do sound a little thin and clean compared to the other instruments, but I don't think it's a serious detraction at all.

Just remembered that the drum sound on Cradle Of Filth - Cruelty And The Beast is really really awful.

Same with Vader - Litany. Too loud, too dominant into the sound, too clinical. Unlistenable for me.
Additionally a lot of bands with standard Tommy Tägtgren production. The lousy hi-hat and the buried bassdrum sound the same on countless releases.

Emperor's Anthems. Despite being otherwise good album but those drums are really awful. Most of the time you can't hear the snare at all.
