Over Fjell Og Gjennom Torner and As Flittermice As Satans Spys off Transilvanian Hunger have always sent eerie shivers down my spine.
Also, most tracks from Darvulia have an especially "evil" dissonance to them, in my opinion. |

I thought the album's biggest fault is the never ending bombardment of sing-along tremolo riffs. You know the drill, one guitar provides an underlying mesh and the second guitar leads the way with the cheap tremolo melodies. I think this can be and has been done right, just not on that album. I wanted to like it more, but it kind of falls short.. epic and majestic is not easy to convey.

| The first two tremolo riffs that springs to mind, which I really felt EVIL in the first time I heard them, would be Divus de Mortuus intro and Night's Blood verse. |

The last riff in 'Over Fjell...' on Transylvanian Hunger. The change into it is already brilliant, but the riff itself is so overpowering and ominous.
Buried By Time And Dust...same thing, the ultimate riff of the sort. |

ALL of Transilvanian Hunger album and MGLA Power and Will I - IV. i also really like the riff that comes after the pause/acoustic part in Satyricon - The Conquering/Dawn of a New Age and think the riff from Mother North is pretty classic
