Doubtful that's gonna continue if he stops recording any Metal whatsoever.
If there's a redundancy of Black Metal-bands all sounding the same, i.e. unoriginal and boring, then you find even plenty more "electronic projects" that are just as much useful as a hole in the head. Considering his experiments in "electronic music" thus far, I am more or less confident that Burzum will cease to matter in no time.

The guy only cares about $$; probably some other weird "limited to 1000 copies on diarrhea spattered vinyl and only 3000 on semen white. Which all mexican and sceneboys are going to pre order anyway.
And still people convinced he isn't in for the money. He only made a couple of good recordings 'back in the day'. All his work past the 96' are utter shit and deserve to be holocaustered.

I enjoyed some of the prison keyboard albums and am interested in this. Burzum gets too much hate here but I think that has more to do with its popularity and hipster appeal than anything else.

Yes, he's in just for money, that's why he does his perfect marketing job calling metealheads niger subculture and saying other completely unpopular stuff that turns off about everyone except him. That's why he now releases an album that isn't even metal, and even with Umskiptar he knew the direction isn't what his fanbase is expecting. |
