Thoughts on this record? Absolute psych jams this time around. I wish it was actually recorded in a studio, but I still like it quite a bit.

The lavish edition's foil stamping is so nice. Hails to VÁN.

Blah ...ordered a regular edition via HHR, should be here this week I wager. Couldn't justify the postage or special edition ordering this time around from Germany, but now hearing about how nice the foil is I have the old metal record regret jealousy thing happening here... a church must burn! Laughing

Care to take a photo or two or is that not able to do the foil justice? Guess it would be hard to really appreaciate in a picture.

The album itself, yea a proper studio treatment would have been great for it, but it is not bad at all though either, it is good enough to listen to. I only gave a download a few listens, intend to give it more attention when the actual album arrives though.

Pretty swish packaging for a half-finished album

65min is half-finished?

I never got the story of why/when they called it quits. Halfway through recording or what?

It is one sexy looking record.

Could be 650 minutes and it wouldn't make a difference - releasing demo versions in their unfinished state seems like a sad end to a great band. Would have been much better to have either taken a break for a year and come back to it or sit on those for a while and release them as curiosities/bsides/whatever. Just seemed like such a strange thing to do for a band who had such fantastic production throughout their career.

That foil does look impressive Shocked

Maybe they called the band quits after reading some of the NWN comments and general attitudes towards Ghost like bands Wink

If I had to guess, why bands with momentum quickly disperse and fall apart... it is the age old story of one or two members wanting to kill the other. Thats generally the factor that best fits the scenario isn't it?

Trumps the desire to complete and finish anything with them no matter how epic or amazing the product is.

Great record with a unique atmosphere. Even though quite different, definitely not inferior to the rest of their discography.

Clearly a problem between the singer and one of the other members as she is the only irreplaceable one.

The lavish edition looks beautiful, but the music itself is very disappointing. Maybe it warrants more listens, but I didn't like what I heard at all.

It's a little less rocking and upbeat paced than earlier releases I find, that had me a little turned off from the first listen myself too, but I'm enjoying it more after a few spins now.

Flipping a coin wether to break down and just get that lavish edition mailed here as well now. Fuck. Shiny! Like a raven, I think I need it for my nest Wink

Heard pretty much nothing but BAD things about it.

That there are no catchy songs or riffs, the songs are too long and go nowhere.

But, I will get the cd and listen for myself.

SL and TMOS (brother/sister) are really awesome people, one band I felt Ho13 had something akin to... Great times I had with them. Sad to see their demise..
