Cause of death, one of the absolute masterpieces of Tampa's death metal. I've always wondered if John used effects on the album, vocals are truly inhuman at times. The End Complete and World Demise deserve more credit, they're both brilliant.

Cause of Death.

It would be one of the first, if not the first, album I'd play if someone asked me what death metal sounded like. I wore out the cassette I listened to it so much in junior high.

Cause of Death was one of the first death metal records I ever listened, so out of pure nostalgia reasons that one. Both are total classics though.

The Circle of the Tyrants cover on COD is one of the best cover songs ever. The music is pretty much the same as OBITUARY anyway and the vocals just make it their own.

I always found Obituary a bit boring but they were great on the last tour were they only played songs from the first two LPs.

I have seen them first in 1990, Budapest (if my memory goes well) on tour with Morgoth and Demolition Hammer and though already listened their stuffs I was totally impressed by their stage atmosphere. "Slowly we rot" is one of the best death metal records ever!

Difficult decision, both albums are seminal Florida death. Have to go with Cause Of Death for its pure dark feeling and stunning cover art. I too think The End Complete is underrated.

The End Complete fucking kills, "Rotting ways" and "Killing time" are some of the best CF worship songs ever written... on topic, I vote for 'Slowly we rot' because it's more thrashy, furious and for "Bloodsoaked" and "Til death", which are their best songs. But 'Cause of death' is one of the albums of my life, those guitar leads...
