Well, since I ordered this one not fully conscious of the circuimstances involved, I'll keep it until the repress comes out via Cyclone and get that as well.

I really don't think you're supposed to commit to this level of investigative journalism when buying a record so it shouldn't really be a concern for you. I mean the guy in the band is related to the guy who owns the rights and now they're publicly slandering each other over this, frankly the entire thing seems utterly ridiculous to me.

I would agree. If it sounds good and looks okay I'm digging it. Let the family fight it out among themselves. I just need the tunes.

If Warning signed a contract that gave the rights of the album to the label to do whatever they want with it, and another label legitimately gets the rights, it's not a boot. No matter how much the band piss and moan

The real problem is ...that albums are only as cool as how rare they are to aquire.
Now that it is repressed, no one is going to care as much as when it was hard to aquire. The LP will be in distro's and trade lists forever come now.
Weird logic? Absolutely, but doesn't it seem to be the general truth of it.  |
