I've only seen this on yellow vinyl. Does it exist on black vinyl as well?

By the way this is one of the best death metal albums to come out of the Morrisound Studios era of FL death metal. It's technical as hell but not gay like the follow up to this album. Also great are their early 7"s and demos. I think the band members were making official CDRs of their early recordings in the early 00's.

i much prefer screams of anguish. i couldnt get into when the sky turns black much at all. it had a lot of chugga chugga mosh action going on as i recall. i havent heard it in a long time...i may give it another try though.

Both albums are good although Screams (as with most debuts) is a stronger effort. I had the cassettes once but its all spoilt now.

Kinda hard to find the CDs now though. Yosuke, any plans to re-issue Screams..on vinyl and CD?

Never saw it on black vinyl, only yellow! Did it come with an insert/lyric sheet?

Yellow vinyl only and no lyrics sheet whatsoever.

I later found several copies of the Brazilian pressing on thin black vinyl. Sound quality was surprisingly okay.

Thought you were referring to the original NB press only. Of course several of those old dm lps had brazilian editions, most of them done by Hellion recs.

Rock Brigade Records did the black version in 1993. The printed insert has lyrics on one side, and a band pic on the other.

A little off topic here, but since it's within the discussion.....Is there a noticeable audible difference between the Brazilian (Rock Brigade)pressings and the original Earache or Nuclear Blast pressings of the old DM stuff?

Equal to the 10 commandments or though Malevolent Creation are no where near as technical.

Whatever happened to Scott Burns?

Great album!! I really like When the Sky Turns Black as well though. I was just thinking recently that these should be re-issued on vinyl. An underrated band & definitely an awesome death metal album from the time.
