Sea Bastard 2 x LP out now (ordering details below) 300 copies pressed, Thick Gatefold Sleeve Double LP. Awesome Artwork by Oliver Irongiant.
Sea Bastard are a doom band from Brighton on the south coast of the UK formed in July 2011 from the ashes of two Brighton doom bands, Jovian and Funeral Hag and their sound is a fusion of the two bands’ styles; the uncompromising lethargy of Jovian meeting the groove of Funeral Hag.The band recorded a demo in October 2011 and played their first gig on Halloween withdoom legends Pagan Altar!

Sea Bastard s/t LP (Review)
Sea Bastard are a fucking brutal beast of heavy monolithic riffs. Blending Sludge, Doom and Stoner Metal to heavy and down right mean effect.
They have been on this blog before with their debut release - Great Barrier Riff back in Nov 2011. Well a year later Sea Bastard are back with possibly one of the most heaviest releases I have hard this year. Their self titled new album is 5 songs and 63 mins of pure unwanted mayhem and destruction.
If your into Electric Wizard, Sleep, Cough and Ramesses well Sea Bastard can all give them a run for their money for the heaviest band out there.
Their new S/T album just fucking kills it in every way possible. The riffs are loud as fuck from the word go. Vocals are screeched at you. Not sang but screeched from the pits of Hell. It feels like Ian has been taking vocal lessons from Lucifer himself. He is one mean pissed off angry dude on this excellent album.
Opening Track - Smashed by Sunlight - is a 12 minute monster of gigantic riffs that gets down to business right away. If you don't like what you hear on this track then you better just turn round and go back to listening your Justin Bieber records. This is proper music for grown-ups.
Bleak, Loud and Angry is what this album stands for. And that is how it stays for the remaining 4 tracks and 51 mins. If you survived the first track then buckle up as your in for a wild ride.
Especially on brilliant tracks - Ramesses' Revenge, Sea Bastard and the 16:35 minute epic - Masters Of Unreality.
Look it's heavy, bleak, angry and pissed off from the word go. You want heavy based Sludge/Doom/Stoner Metal riffs then this is the album for you. It's a brilliant album I haven't stop listening to for the last few weeks or so.
Sea Bastard have excelled themselves hear. This album should cement their place as major league players in the UK Sludge/Stoner/Doom Metal Scene.
What is even better the band have this up for Pay Anything You Want Download on BandCamp right now.
So there is no excuse for you not to miss the new kings of everything loud and heavy. The brilliant - SEA BASTARD.
Fucking Amazing. (Rockbox Online/The Sludge Lord)

Had a lot of mails about this LP but postage seems to be putting people off, for anyone interested they'll support Coffins in London, I'll be up at Live Evil Fest III and later on in the year SB got tour support for Pagan Altars euro dates... will post the dates up when it's all sorted. _________________ http://tadpolerecords.blogspot.com/
