If you’re interested in buying a classic Slayer album, try “South of Heaven” instead, or if you’re into a more modern, melodic appraoch, go for “Diablous In Musica”. Aviod this one.

never heard, sounds ok

in general, the statement "10 year anniversary" has lost all its gravitas in this day and age
most of my boxer shorts are that old

Have it.
The album is headbanging from start to finish!!
Evil ,fast, rhythmical,slayer-ish,unstoppable,essential.
Too bad they split up...

I'll have to check this out again to see if I view it differently 10 years later. I listened to it a couple of times when it came out, and as I recall it was just a complete rip-off of Slayer...well done, but why not just listen to the real thing?

It's the same case with first Usurper (Chicago) works.Don't care their CF mania ,they kill!
Actually ,I love their CF obsession!

Same goes for Insane.I can't find a band playing so dedicated slayer-ish evil trash!
...of the first record.

I exclude some Norwegian evil thrash ...(Nekromantheon etc...)

I have the LP but I've only spun it once or twice.. Maybe time to revisit.

I remember this album being the closest thing to "Show No Mercy" I have ever heard.

It wasn't ever meant to be "original" but it's still a great record. It gets regular plays around here.

I disagree with this comparison: Usurper are obviously heavily CF influenced, but they have developed their own sound, visual aesthetics and style. Insane didn't. I'd rate the latter together with bands like german Warhammer (at least their early works, no idea how they sound these days) or Yellowgoat, they just pay tribute to one single band/album, both musically and image-wise.

I always wondered about this band, a bunch of Italians, who recorded their album in Canada? I know they used to be called Slaves but never heard their demo. I did see them live at Keep It True, I guess their only real gig ever. I'll try to grab this vinyl if prices stay cool.

I bought the CD back when it came out but never really got into it.
Its too simple and repetitive. The only band that gets away with that for me is old Slayer.
