Out of the extra stuff, how much hasn't previously been released? Any of it?

Only through tape trading in variable quality. At least the St. Gorhausen German fest '85 gig has been available only as those three songs that were on Cliff Em All tribute video. But now the whole show and that's fucking great! Same with the Chicago '83 video.

If these are still available in March I will for sure order. Hail Metallica!

Any reliable distro (like nwn / ibp / hrr) will carry the deluxe versions?

The contents of those looks great. I was cutting spending but if the tax refund is good might grab these both.

Fuck. These do look really nice. $150 each is not bad at all for what is in each box. May pull the trigger for at least "Kill Em All".

Pretty cool, but I doubt I'd hardly ever listen to most of that stuff. As much as I love Metallica, the regular albums are good enough for me. I've got enough stuff at it is.

*proceeds to buy both box sets*

Are Ride and Kill are getting individual lp only re-issues as well?

Hmmm, I would maybe be interested in the Lightning set, my favorite album of theirs. I'm torn between "that looks cool" and "fuck you I'll just download the bonus material out of utter contempt for Metallica as it's 2016" as I bought the albums already on tape, LP AND CD.

When is no "No Life 'Til Leather Dlp set suppose to be released?

Also is there a way to just order the Live lp's from the Kill 'em All + Ride The Lightning sets?

If they don't fuck these up - say getting Trujillo to overdub Burtons bass lines, brickwalled remasters, or say, WILD NEW ZANY ARTWORK or whatever dumb shit Metallica could do to ruin these (and I bet there's 10,000 ways they could fuck these up) I'll buy them.

Also thinking about MoP and Justice. Is the remixed AJFA on the horizon as a bonus disc?

I was a huge Metallica fanboy from '84 to '91. There was a time when I would have literally drooled all over these releases. Especially since it's KEA and RTL, my two favorites.

But there has been so much bullshit in the last quarter century, it's all just sort of tarnished for me.

EDIT: I'll probably buy them anyway. Damnit.

They should put the Kill 'Em All rough mixes out as an official Metal Up Your Ass LP.
