|
|
Was listening to the 40 Watt Sun acoustic version of Restless, done by the vocalist Patrick Walker (brilliantly done, by the way), and I was wondering what tracks have been played with an acoustic guitar by the band who performed and wrote the original song too.
Also interested in good cover songs as well, I guess. Ideally material performed by the band that did the original song though.
Here's the link for the 40 Watt Sun track (seriously recommended) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F36UhfoJjUM |

FUCK OFF to all accoustic shit. Burn it in hell to death!
Sabotage any "unplugged" gigs you can. The reason they happen is cos the band cant be bothered to bring along all their fuckin gear.
Fuck Off Blaze Bailey the fat shit noise! |

Stormheit has done a few acoustic gigs. I've seen one of those myself. He played his own songs and cover songs as well. Enjoyable stuff in my opinion.

This thread reminds me of a particular GEHENNAH song. _________________ Scrutare et vide quia propheta a Galilaea non surgit!

That's the one. The 2 Behexen tracks were great as well. |

Endlich 'Was einst war' is a pretty good album of acoustic/neofolk-ish Burzum covers
Drudkh released that boring album of acoustic versions of their songs
Have this nagging in the back of my head that I know loads of these but can't think of any more right now. |

I really liked that album. I do like acoustic stuff though, it's incredibly soul-soothing, just like neofolk. Fuck, my damn name is after this track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Hkas_kh4jE |

That's pretty cool, never heard of them before.
But that Drudkh album was booooring
I seem to remember Supernal even tried to advertise it as "neo folk"; spotting a bandwagon while blatantly not having a clue what it is. |
