I really liked that album. I do like acoustic stuff though, it's incredibly soul-soothing, just like neofolk. Fuck, my damn name is after this track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Hkas_kh4jE |
That's pretty cool, never heard of them before.
But that Drudkh album was booooring
I seem to remember Supernal even tried to advertise it as "neo folk"; spotting a bandwagon while blatantly not having a clue what it is. |
They're a great band (Numen) and I hold a soft spot for them as I only uncovered them when in northern Spain on work experience for a week and purely by chance. I walked into a local record store and picked up a Candlemass CD and the most recent Numen CD. So yeah, now everyone knows why my name is AmaLurra!
I prefer Drudkh's blacker stuff. Autumn Aurora and The Swan Road are fantastic. For neofolk I'll typically listen to Syven, Nest, Ulver, Agalloch or whatever. |

+1
It's a really great song. Much better as acoustic piece than the normal black metal song. _________________

I'm fairly certain Blaze Bayley has done more for metal than you ever have. Or will. |

So, what of their "metal songs" they've also performed as an acoustic? |

Rodrigo y Gabriella had an acoustic version of "Orion" on their first album which wasn't bad ... _________________ Family first but Blasphemy a close second...
