Their 80's material can be seen as one long epic mini series that you have to consider as a whole. I haven't voted since it is impossible to pick one out. I admit that the first album is the least of the great works for me. A bit shaky that one with too many "softies" on it. It has the monumental Phantom though.

After Seventh Son it went downhill fast. No Prayer and Fear are very inconsistent with a few nice tracks but you can hear the band has burned out by now. The Blaze stuff is horrible. The Brave comeback was a fun ride....Dance of Death still has it's moments....the last 2 are so utterly booooring and loooong....uurghh. Like undergoing water torture with a drop at a time on your head. Drives you insane.

Powerslave, of course.

The X Factor gets no love. A great and dark album, and it's so much better than the boring garbage they make now.

Bollocks the X factor is fuckin gash, I thought final frontier was canny, had 7/8 belting songs on it, and star blind and the talisman as good as many maiden songs.

Agree with this. SIT/SSOASS is the peak of classic 80s metal in my eyes. Fear of the Dark is a stronger album than No Prayer imo, though both are loaded with fillers. BNW the best of the reunion material. DOD starting to lose steam but still not completely hopeless. AMOLAD, a drag. Haven't followed them since.

That is the weakest song off the album for me. Removing the last two tracks off TFF would have really enhanced it.
