Goddefied - Abysmal Grief
Sorcery - Bloodchilling Tales
Grotesque - In the Embrace of Evil
Liers in Wait - Spiritually Uncontrolled Art
Utumno - Across the Horizon
Suffer - Structures
Also, I'm getting tired of people whining in every thread and saying something along the lines of "not another *insert type of thread* thread". What other kinds of threads would you suggest that warrant quality discussion? |

Yes I definitely put that "not another death metal namedrop thread" because nwn forums is an integral part of my existance and I sure as hell wouldn't want it to be the way I dont want it to be. Absolutely _________________ Noro Boli Hay! |

Egypt
It's such a shame they never did more than a two-song demo because their more technical and atmospheric take on the style was excellent. At least you can get them on the Mastication/Exhumed/Egypt comp, Wicked Material Sanity. Check out one of the songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFA4tB6VoGs _________________

Yes.
Plus some of these "obscure gems" are heavily overrated for the sake of kultness, for example Treblinka and Obscurity. |

There's nothing wrong with threads of this kind, I just wish they were about something else than a topic that has already been discussed before on more than one occasion.
Just because someone hasn't mentioned a certain band in the last month it doesn't make it "obscure" or "forgotten". Liars in Wait, for example, has been an obscure Swedish Death Metal band for the last twenty years.
While I realize that people do not discover things on the same day and that most do not have the capability of Leeloo to process information, I am of the opinion that threads like this, where there's no real discussion going on but pointless namedropping, are pointless. I will continue to have that opinion until I start a similar thread. I have in the past, so I do not consider myself any holier than thou. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it.
