I mostly use Spotify when listening to other genres.

Pretty much what I've been using it for. It's more of a "family account" than just mine but gotta say, the mobile offline mode is fucking great.

Anyone know how to listen to a full album based on the tracks consecutively? or do they always put them on shuffle throughout the album? Its like listening to postmortem and not having raining blood play next, no continuity.

Hm, sounds like you've put Shuffle on. Switch it off and whole albums plays from beginning to end.

Spotify is peer to peer based, so if i recall correct, adding music to your library folder will enable other people to access those files.

It's not, otherwise they'd be up shit creek

There used to be more Sodom on Spotify if I remember correctly but i guess some albums just drop off since the labels don't want to pay the yearly fee to keep certain albums there.

Shouldn't they be paying the labels, not the other way around?

Labels don't pay Spotify to list their music, they ALLOW Spotify to do so, which they can revoke if they wish.

Spotify PAYS the labels micropayments for songs played (subscriber or free version.)
So even when you use the free version to play stuff, the labels/bands are getting a little something from that.

Labels/bands just get pissed on occasion because the payments are so small and pull their music out of spite, most likely.

It's better than downloading I suppose where the label/band gets absolutely nothing, but only barely better.

As i know it is like that...but from my point of view it is honest... at least if i think about reality of "modern world"

I would argue that if the payments are so small that they are not worth receiving, then allowing Spotify to make money on streaming your music is worse than having it outright stolen. At least with mp3 leeching no one is making a profit (I am not referring to those sites that sell mp3's illegally, just torrents/P2P type shit)

That's exactly why a lot of artists don't use it. Lady Gaga made $50 from it one month, and she was by far the most played artist on there (when her second album just came out). You know something's fishy when that happens

Exactly, it's up to individual artists and labels to decide what they want to do. Some do, some don't
