Any love for the American heavy/power metal band Tyrant from Pasadena, California? Really love Too Late to Pray, although Legions of the Dead isn't quite far behind it. The former is essentially an upgraded version of the first album, and it contains apparent doom metal elements on songs such as "Babylon". Glen May's vocals are just incredible, commanding aural assaults. Highly recommended.

I remember buying the first two albums maybe 10 years ago. Then forgot about the band or something. They weren't bad. Keeps happening!

Yes,'Too late to pray' is a haunted ,dark, ghostly and creepy as hell masterpiece.
Many b.m bands would kill to create such atmosphere.
And btw they are christians......

Still need to get a copy of this album Embarassed [EDIT: found a copy at a second hand store a few hours later Laughing ]

On the other hand, "Legions of the Dead" is a long time favourite of mine, probably the best US Metal ever to me.

Despite claiming to "love" this band, this post made me realize to my shock I probably haven't listened to them in like a decade. Embarassed Shocked Mindblowing. Makes me wonder how much of a fan I really am when I say I "worship" a band. A poseur, more likely. Laughing

Both albums are terrific! The first one is my favourite. As said above, "King of Kings" is also very good, I need to get it!

You pretty much know exactly how I feel about that album. "Babylon", "Bells of Hades", "Verdalack", and "Eve of Destruction" can all only be summed up as epic. A perfection! One of the "evilest" Christian bands, ever.

Glad that the thread encouraged you to go back to them. Like you, I "worship" them. Few other bands that are sacred to me in this particular metal are Cloven Hoof, Riot, Tokyo Blade, and Satan.

Killer band. The moment I first heard Too Late Too Pray I new I was into something special - very few bands have captured the darkness and evilness of that album. US Metal at it's finest.

Also First album is killer as well Legions of the Dead - third album not as much
